The Location
Tamarindo first gained popularity in the mid 90’s with the surf flick, The Endless Summer 2. Since then, there has been a steady growth of tourists and investors visiting (and falling in love) with the area. Tamarindo is located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica in the Northwest portion. It is the driest region of the country (300 days of sunshine yearly) and boasts the reputation of having the most beautiful beaches paired with incredible waves for surfers. You can walk from one end of Tamarindo to the other in about 20 minutes. It’s a dense little surf town right on the beach with over 50 restaurants, bars, clinics, fine dining, yoga, boutique shopping, and grocery stores. Even after your first visit, you’ll understand why this region of Costa Rica is called, The Gold Coast. Liberia International airport is 1 hour away and international bi-ligual schools are readily available.
The Land
A pristine park-like farm with 360 degree views and easy access to the popular surf resort town of Playa Tamarindo. A great opportunity for development of a large Eco Resort, or a collection of spectacular custom villas…or a combination of both.
Located about 1 kilometer southeast of Playa Tamarindo, the farm is a 93 acres (37.6 hectares) of indigenous tropical forest with numerous springs, streams, and watercourses lying between rolling hills. Two rocky peaks on the property are not only dramatically visible landmarks, but afford outstanding views in all directions. Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, nature tours, are just some of the outdoor activities to be enjoyed on the property.
Numerous potential premier building sites are scattered throughout the property, with expansive views west to the Pacific Ocean, south down the Nicoya Peninsula, and to the lush valleys and mountain ranges to the southeast and north.
Many birds and wild animals, particularly large bands of howler monkeys, and flocks of many different species of parrots and tropical birds, make their home on the land.
The farm has approximately two kilometers of road frontage, and includes ten water hook-ups. Electrical lines also run along the road frontages.
This property is a perfect site for a luxury resort, which could include equestrian facilities, a restaurant, spa, and a variety of accommodations ranging from fully-staffed luxury villas, to a boutique hotel, and custom home sites.
